We’ve become known for our highly detail oriented PPF installations in the Wilmington, NC area and for good reason. Rather you have a high performance muscle car, cutting edge Electric Vehicle or any other vehicle, they all get treated with the utmost care and attention to detail. This customer came to us with a single goal in mind; protect the front bumper of her brand new Mazda CX-5 SUV. After consultation and understanding her concern we walked outside to look over the vehicle in person. This can be seen in wash process which includes a strip wash using a PH neutral strip wash, iron decontamination, clay bar process as well as very detailed brushing and attention to nooks and crannies where dirt and debris tend to hide and wreak havoc on a PPF installation. By us taking the time to properly wash, decontaminate and prep your vehicle for PPF, we can rest assured that your installation will come out the absolute best it can.

While going over the exact areas to be covered with this client, it was noticed that there were already a handful of minor rock chips and nicks thought the front end of her new SUV. This is actually very common these days as it’s an unfortunate reality that vehicle manufacturers are thinning paint out these days to cut costs. This is great for the manufacturers bottom line but not so great for you and your new vehicle.

During our consultation we found out this customer had been referred to us by a local vehicle wrap shop. We discussed the realities that the chips and nicks which were already present would not be hidden but by adding PPF to her front bumper we could definitely prevent any future chips and nicks from happening. It’s important to note this as some information on the internet available to the public would steer potential clients to believe PPF hides already present paint imperfections. This is simply not true. It’s also very important to note, contrary to what some shops would have you believe, not every single edge can nor should be wrapped with PPF. Seams and relief cuts are also a necessity in order to provide proper film installation and longevity. We make it a point to set expectations with all clients and we believe this is why we continuously have happy clients when they choose us. We under promise and over deliver, always.
